Visiting Sweden

For tourists, Sweden is a country rich in opportunities; from the Arctic beauty of the North with its midnight sun, to the castles of the southernmost province Skåne with its more continental flavor. Visitors to Northern Sweden can experience the frozen thrills of the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, dog sledging, ice fishing, snowmobiling and more. Further South, visitors can enjoy the 1,680 miles of coastline with tens of thousands of islands to explore, or a trip back in time on a cruise on the Göta Canal aboard a vintage steamboat.

Visit Sweden is the official website for tourists and your gateway to all that Sweden has to offer as a year-round holiday destination. Visit the site for useful travel and tourist information.

The Migration Agency is the authority that considers applications from people who want to take up permanent residence in Sweden, come for a visit, seek protection from persecution or become Swedish citizens.

You have the right to receive information about the personal data that the Swedish Migration Agency has saved about you. This is stated in Article 15 of the Data Protection Regulation. If you want to submit a request, please download the English file or the Swedish version.

Please note that migration cases are not handled by the Consulate General in Brussels. You may contact the Embassy of Sweden to France.
