Appeals

If you are not satisfied with the decision you have been given, you have the right to appeal against the decision. The appeal must be in writing, signed by you, and should be sent to the Embassy, preferably by e-mail to: ambassaden.beirut-visum@gov.se no later than three weeks after the date you received the decision.

The appeal must state:

  • Which decision you wish to appeal.
  • How you want the decision to be changed.
  • Your name, date of birth, postal address and telephone number.
  • Any circumstances or evidence/proof that you wish to add to your case.
  • Do not send you passport together with your appeal

If someone else signs the appeal on your behalf, that person must be authorised to represent you (power of attorney). The power of attorney document must be signed by you and submitted in the original together with your appeal.

It is the Embassy that initially decides whether to review the decision. If the Embassy decides not to change its decision, the case is forwarded to the Migration Court in Sweden.

If the Migration Court in Sweden changes the initial decision, the Embassy will ask for your passport
