Apply for a Visa

The Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem will accept applications where Sweden is the sole or main destination. The exception to this rule is for applicants from Gaza who intend to visit Switzerland or the Netherlands. Sweden is representing Switzerland and the Netherlands in Gaza for these purposes and will be responsible for the decision-making regarding the visa applications for applicants where Switzerland or the Netherlands is the sole or main destination.

Appeals
If you are not satisfied with the decision you have been given, you can appeal it. The appeal must be in writing and must be presented at or arrive at the Consulate no later than three weeks after the date you received the decision. It is possible to submit an appeal through booking.jerusalem@gov.se.

The appeal must state:

  • Which decision you wish to appeal.
  • How you want the decision to be changed.
  • Your name, date of birth, postal address and telephone number.
  • Any circumstances or evidence/proof that you wish to add to your case.

It is the Consulate that initially decides whether to review the decision. If it decides not to change its decision, the case is forwarded to the Migration Court in Sweden.
