Delivery of residence permit card (UT card)

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has meant that the deliveries of residence permit cards to the Embassy in Moscow are taking longer than usual as several courier companies have stopped deliveries to Russia.

Residence permit cards are delivered irregularly to the Embassy. The staff therefore is unable to answer when the next delivery can be expected.

For those of you who are waiting for your UT card, please note the following:

- Delivery currently takes 4-6 weeks. It can also take longer during holidays such as Christmas or Easter

- It is not possible to change the delivery address once the UT card has been ordered

- UT cards can be picked up by you or a person with a power of attorney from you

- The embassy will not notify you when your UT card has arrived. You can find out through an automatic message from the Swedish Migration Agency (for electronic applications), or by contacting us via visa.moscow@gov.se

- The embassy does not grant D visas for entry to Sweden, due to delayed deliveries
