Events details

The Embassy of Sweden together with Business Sweden and Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce will organize “Sweden-Thailand Sustainable Development Forum 2024” within the Sustainability Expo (SX 2024) on 30 September 2024 at 15.00 – 17.00 hrs. (Thailand time) on Ground Floor, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre with the Royal Thai Embassy, Stockholm as a co-host.

The Sweden-Thailand Sustainable Development Forum is an annual event alternately hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm and the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. The objective of the forum is to serve as a platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices among state and private agencies in Thailand and Sweden, with a focus on exploring potential cooperation in sustainable development.

As the first country in the world to pass an Environmental Protection Act in 1967, Sweden has consistently worked towards environmental sustainability. Currently, the Swedish government has set ambitious goals, including becoming fossil-free by 2045 and achieving 100% renewable energy.

This year, the Forum will discuss two themes in relation to the sustainable development namely Swedish-Thai Insights: Sustainable Innovation for Energy and Resource Efficiency and Green Mobility: “Accelerating the Transition to Sustainable Urban Mobility: Challenges and Opportunities” The Forum will be conducted in English with simultaneous Thai interpretation provided. The Forum will be broadcasted via https://www.sustainabilityexpo.com/sx/

Apart from Sweden – Thailand Sustainable Development Forum 2024 on stage. This year, Team Sweden will also showcase “Sweden Pavilion” within SX24 during 27 September – 6 October 2024 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
