A position as a Program Officer responsible for EU for Innovation phase 2 at the Embassy of Sweden in Tirana is now vacant. The post is within the section for Development Cooperation.
Duties:
The post is a part-time (80%) temporary position for 40 months, and its functions is to work as Program Officer responsible for managing EU4 Innovation phase 2 and the Challenge Fund.
The duties as Program Officer will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing the EU-delegated funds according to Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) contribution management rules and regulations;
- Responsible for managing and follow up implementation of Challenge Fund with implementing partner (in accordance with Sidas rules and regulations and EU´s requirements);
- Managing dialogue with the action partner GiZ, EUD and Ministry of Finance and Economy;
- Coordinate and write progress and annual EU and Sida reports etc;
- Regular financial follow-up, planning and reporting to Sida Headquarter in Stockholm & Albanian Government for contributions in line with the regulations of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and EU regulations;
- Responsible for registration of documents in line with the Swedish legal framework;
- Assisting in preparation of events and communication.
The Program Officer will primarily report to the Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy. Regular collaboration with Sida HQ in Stockholm, GiZ, EUD and the government of Albania, innovation ecosystem of Albania and other relevant stakeholders, is foreseen as part of the duties. Travels in Albania for participating in the following up of development contributions can constitute part of the duties.
Qualifications:
- Several years’ experience in working as Program Officer in Innovation/Market
Development and/or working for the EU as project officer or administrator or related;
- Several years experiences in working with administrative tasks;
- Fluency in oral and written English and Albanian;
- Good communication skills;
- Good administrative skills;
- Good knowledge and experience of computer programmes and functions (Microsoft Office);
- University degree in finance, administration, business, social sciences or relevant field.
