Innovation in Governance for Urban Nature-based Solutions

The programme focuses on governance and leadership innovation in the area of Nature-Based Solutions for improved urban environments. It is provided by the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) and Lund University School of Economics and Management (LUSEM) in collaboration with LUCE, the Department for Commissioned Education at Lund University.

You are encouraged to apply if you are involved in the governance of built infrastructure and systems that relate to natural resources, are working closely with management and/or governance activities or issues that are directly relevant to urban and peri-urban natural resources, are a mid-to-upper-level manager in larger city administrations in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia or Ukraine or are working in civil society, academia or in a multilateral organisation in these countries, are mid-career (e.g. typically 35–50 years of age), and have a good command of the English language.

Duration of the programme: end of October 2020–May 2021
Dates in Tbilisi, Georgia: 23–25 November 2020 (3-day workshop). This module will be conducted completely online due to Covid-19.
Dates in Lund, Sweden: April 2021 (7-day onsite module, exact dates TBD)
Target countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine
Costs: Participation in this programme is free of charge. It includes travel to and from Georgia and Sweden and meals and accommodation during onsite modules in Georgia and Sweden. The participant’s organisation is responsible for the costs for visas.
