Our dear colleague Majeda Haq passed away on 6 June 2019 after a long illness. Majeda was a much appreciated colleague at the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka, where she worked as a Programme Specialist since 2016. She was also a voice in Bangladesh for gender equality and women’s struggle for empowerment. We will miss her warmth, her sharp intellect and her commitment to her work and Bangladesh.
