Vacant position: Summer reinforcement to the Section of Migration

The Embassy of Sweden in Beijing is looking for locally employed assistants to the Section for Migration. These are full time, temporary employments for the period of 1 April (or later) to 31 August or 30 September 2020. Please send in your application before 20 February 2020.

The Embassy in Beijing is one of Sweden's largest missions. The Section for Migration handles a large amount of visa applications on an annual basis. Furthermore, the section is also responsible for conducting interviews in different residence permit cases on the assignment of the Swedish Migration Agency.  

Main Tasks
- receive and register applications for visas and residence/work permits
- answer inquiries by telephone/e-mail
- filing and other administrative work
- any other duty that might be assigned by the head of section

Professional and personal qualification
-
experience in administrative work and prior experience from public service
- written and spoken English and Chinese
- accurate, cooperative and service minded
- good computer literacy
- ability in handling fluctuating workloads in sometime stressful situations
- knowledge in Swedish is considered an asset but is not a pre-requisite for the position

The position is a local, full time temporary employment (39,45 hours per week). The working hours can be placed outside normal working hours. Individual salary applies. Terms and conditions of the Employment will be discussed individually with successful candidates.
