Your workplace

The Embassy’s Administrative and Consular team is responsible for administration and consular matters including economy, archive, security, and property management. We are now looking for a Technical Assistant who will be dedicated for repairs and maintenance of the Embassy’s compound and buildings and it also includes a second responsibility as a driver. The work involves both outdoor- and indoor work.

Main Tasks

• Repairs and maintenance of Embassy’s compound and buildings
• Cleaning and maintenance of swimming pool
• Cleaning and maintenance of Embassy’s bikes
• Assist the Facility Technician
• Assist in preparing meetings and events, moving furniture and other heavier items
• Second responsibility as a driver

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience

• 3–5 years professional work experience as a technician (repairs- and maintenance work)
• Creative, flexible, and capable of working independently and in teams
• Social ability and good judgement, service minded
• Driving licence and proven experience from driving

Meritorious

• Knowledge of English

What we offer

This is a full time (39,45 hours per week) local position based at the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing. A six-month probation period will apply. Individual salary applies and other terms and conditions, too, will be discussed individually with successful candidates.
