Part-time Policy and Communication Officer

The Consulate General of Sweden is currently seeking a multi-talented, creative and outgoing person to join our team as a part time Policy and Communication Officer.

Your profile:

You are a positive person living in Hong Kong who is service-minded with a flexible approach. You are a team player, but you are also able to work independently. You have a background in communication, media or analysis.

As a policy and communication officer you will be part of a team at the Consulate General of Sweden in Hong Kong.

Your main tasks:

• Monitor, translate and analyse local news
• Contribute to the content of the Consulate’s social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Sweden Abroad
• Work with partners/contractors/government bodies for local promotion events
• Coordinate programs for incoming delegations
• Take part of the daily administrative work in the consulate
• Carry out any other relevant assignments within the consulate

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a valid work permit or otherwise be permitted to work legally in Hong Kong for the duration of the employment period
• Degree holder, preferable major in communications or political science
• Fluent in Cantonese and English
• Experience from media or analysis work
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Strong social and communication skills
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop) and video post-processing

 Starting date: As soon as possible

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08.30-12.30.

The contract of the position initially runs until 30 June 2022 with a possibility of prolongation.
