The office of Science and Innovation, Embassy of Sweden (OSI) in Tokyo was established in 1966.
The OSI Tokyo is tasked to facilitate research and innovation and other exchanges of knowledge between Sweden and Japan, and to monitor, analyze and report to Sweden on important trends in research, innovation and growth in Japan. The international secretariat at the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise coordinates and supports the OSIs worldwide (Beijing, Brasilia, London, New Delhi, Seoul, Tokyo, Washington D.C.). We cooperate with Swedish and Japanese governmental agencies as well as with research actors in companies, universities, and research institutions.
