Non-Acceptance of Corruption

Sweden is a long-term development partner with Liberia and national ownership and leadership is key in all support. Swedish development cooperation never accepts any form of corruption, including giving and receiving bribes. You can report any suspicion of fraud or corruption in a Swedish foreign aid contribution.

The Swedish development cooperation in Liberia supports areas such as: democracy, human rights, gender equality and the rule of law; peaceful and inclusive societies; inclusive economic growth and environment, climate change, and the use of natural resources. The Swedish development cooperation includes support to both government and civil society actors for sustainable results and long-term development in Liberia. Corruption is a serious hindrance to such development.

Sweden never accepts any form of corruption, including bribes. In addition, the approach to corruption also instructs employers and partners to always prevent, always inform and always act.
