The Nordic Embassies represented in Mozambique organized yesterday, 5 December, the "Nordic Good Growth Day" in Maputo.
The main objective is to exchange experiences and explore new ways to promote private sector development, job creation, and consequently support inclusive growth in Mozambique. In addition to local speakers, the event featured international speakers from Norway, Sweden and Finland.
The Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Vitória Diogo, made the opening speech of the event and launched the Labor Market Report.
Swedish Entrepreneur Estelle Westling was a keynote speaker at the event, sharing her long experience in combining social, sustainability and business projects to drive positive change, with a special focus on women.
According to the Ambassador of Sweden, Marie Andersson de Frutos, Sweden in partnership with the World Labor Organization and the Mozambican Government began to implement the MozTrabalha program with the aim of ensuring that more women and men have access to productive employment opportunities and also contribute to the improvement of policies and regulations related to employment and social dialogue in Mozambique.
