OSCE Informal Ministerial Gathering

On 9 July 2019, at the invitation of the Slovak OSCE Chairmanship, the ministers of foreign affairs and other high-level representatives of the OSCE’s 57 participating States attended an informal ministerial gathering in the High Tatras. The discussions were characterized by the OSCE’s already agreed common norms, principles, and commitments enshrined in the Paris Charter and Helsinki Final Act to promote durable peace, stability and security in Europe.

Sweden was represented by Foreign Minister Margot Wallström.

“Such dialogue is particularly important in these times when international law and the principles and commitments we have all agreed upon are being challenged. For the sake of our common security, respect for international law and OSCE principles and commitments must be restored”, Foreign Minister Margot Wallström said during her statement.
