Non-essential travel to Rwanda no longer discouraged

Non-essential travel is no longer discouraged to Rwanda, starting October 1st, 2021, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided.

From October 1st 2021 non-essential travel is no longer discouraged to all of the countries for which the decision came into effect as a result of the covid-19-pandemic in March 2020. Traveling to Rwanda is therefore no longer discouraged.

Travelers from Sweden are encouraged to register on the Swedish List (Svensklistan) and read to Embassy’s travel information on Sweden Abroad. It’s important to follow the local authorities advice and regulations. For information related to current regulations and restrictions in Rwanda due to Covid-19 visit the Rwanda Biomedical Centre, RBC website.
