Kids of the 90ies

Kids of the 90ies - a project about young people, future leaders, regional cooperation, burdens from the past and hopes for the future, was wrapped up on June 12 at the Swedish Residence.

This project was initiated and realized by the Heartfact Foundation, and supported by the Embassy of Sweden and the Swedish Institute. The project involved a series of discussions on topics related to contemporary society, culture, politics and recent history, from a perspective of young people born in the 90ies. The discussions were filmed and published on Heartefact´s portal Remarker Media.

The Embassy hosted the final gathering and brainstorming at the Swedish Ambassador´s Residence, on topics that influence the daily life of every young person in the society, such as why are young people not participating more in the daily politics, or what can be done about the ongoing brain drain. The question that still remained unsolved was – to stay or to go?

The event was hosted and introduced by the Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Joachim Waern. The project was presented by the Heartefact´s Aleksandra Babic, while the discussion was moderated by the brilliant Aida Jokanovic.
