Swedish film presence during the International Documentary Film Festival

Between 8 and 12 May the International Documentary Film Festival BELDOCS will be held in Belgrade where documentaries made by Swedish film directors will be shown. Here is a selection:

Maj Doris: Maj Doris is a movie about the 74-year old legendary SAMI woman Maja Doris Rimpi, who travelled all around the world twenty years ago. Nowadays she lives alone above the article circle in Sweden and keeps reindeers. But she is still a very sought-after artist, painter and actress.

 Cold Case Hammarskjöld: Dag Hammarskjöld, one of Sweden's most famous diplomats, was until his death the secretary general of the UN. He died under mysterious circumstances in a place crash 1961. This documentary leads us to an investigative journey to what really happened on that day 1961.

The Raft: In 1973, five men and six woman drifted across the Atlantic on a raft as part of a scientific experiment studying the sociologi of violence, aggression and sexual attraction in human behaviour. Although the project became known in the press as "The Sex Raft" nobody expected what ultimately took place on that three months journey. More than forty years later, the surviving members of "The Acali Expedition" reunite in a film studio.
