High level delegation from VINNOVA, DIGG and SALAR visits Singapore

On February 20–22, a delegation led by Ms Darja Iskasson, Director General of Vinnova - Sweden’s Innovation Agency, with participants form DIGG, Sweden’s Agency for Digital Government, and SALAR – the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, visited Singapore.

The overall purpose of the visit was to look at Singapore’s efforts with regards to the digitalization and innovation in the public sector. The delegation held interesting discussions with representatives from government agencies as well as academia and companies about different aspects of the digital transformation of society.

In conjunction with the visit the Embassy hosted an panel discussion in collaboration with SG Innovate on the theme “Singapore and Sweden: Innovation Collaborations and Diversity in Tech”. The panelists included Ms Darja Isaksson, Director General of Vinnova, Ms Anna Eriksson, Director General of DIGG, Ms Karin Nilsdotter, CEO of SpacePort Sweden and Singaporean entrepreneur Ms Rosaline Chow.

The delegation also participated in the official opening of the Nordic Innovation House Singapore.
