On September 9, IKEA Alexandra in collaboration with the Embassy invited Eunice Olsen, author, influencer and former Nominated Member of Parliament, to do an event around her book “I a m girl, see what I can be!”. Eunice Olsen, who has roots in Sweden, is also the Embassy’s “goodwill ambassador”.
The book is a collection of rhymes for children featuring stories of courage and inspiration based on the real-life stories of 10 inspirational Asian women that have been featured on the International Emmy® Nominated series, WomenTalk. With the book Eunice Olsen hopes to encourage more young girls and boys to draw strength from these stories and to know that they can be who they want to be.
The event was well received with around 50 kids and their parents joining the conversation.
