Festival "Notes Polaires" in Geneva (27 feb. - 1 march)

27 Feb 2020

Music from Sweden, Finland and Norway is presented by the Ateliers d'ethnomusicologie - ADEM during their winter festival “Notes Polaires”.

Enjoy the melodies of the “kantele” and “langeleik” zithers, and the “jouhikko” bowed lyre, the dance-inducing rhythms of the “hardingfele” nine-stringed violin, the hurdy-gurdy and “nyckelharpa” (keyed fiddle) as well as the charms of anciend ballads.

In addition to the concerts, the program offers meetings with the musicians, workshops and a film. (Not only) for the young public: “The marvelous journey of Nils Holgersson” can be seen at the Bibliothèques municipals.

With: Ilkka Heinonen, Maija Kauhanen, Thomas & Guro, duo Rydvall/Mjelva, Symbio, duo Astaad Bråten, Sogesong Duo, The White Reindeer (film) and more.
