Sweden remains deeply concerned about the human rights situation in DRC, including with regard to the security and the humanitarian situation in eastern DRC, and the widespread impunity for human rights violations and abuses, especially in the eastern regions. Sweden would like to make the following recommendations:

1. Reverse the decision to lift the moratorium on the death penalty.
2. Take concrete measures to ensure accountability for human rights violations, particularly sexual and gender-based violence and abuse of children.
3. Take concrete measures to ensure zero tolerance for incitement to violence and hate speech.
