Update: Booking passport appointments manually

As of 26 February, passport appointments are booked manually via email. We allocate the appointments in the order that emails requesting a passport appointment have reached us.

We are booking appointments during the autumn for those who have already sent an email to the embassy’s address for booking passport appointments. To be placed in line for a passport appointment email your name, personal ID number/coordination number and a phone number to ambassaden.london-pass@gov.se. More people have requested passport appointments than the number of available appointments.

If you have been allocated a passport appointment but no longer need it, please help other passport applicants by cancelling your appointment so we can offer your appointment to someone else. Please write “Cancellation” in the subject line.

To receive and process as many applications as possible, requests for passport appointments will be answered via automated responses.

If your passport has not yet expired, it is valid as a travel document for entry into Sweden up to and including the expiry date.

If you apply to renew your passport with the passport police in Sweden, you can request to collect the new passport in London for a fee of SEK 200 (currently £16). Provided that your old passport has not expired, you do not need to stay in Sweden while your new passport is being made.

The Embassy will continue to book appointments manually until a new IT-based booking site is available. The time frame for this is still uncertain, however we will keep you updated via the Embassy website as soon as more information can be provided.
