The Embassy of Sweden’s responsibility is to promote, broaden and deepen the excellent bilateral relations between Sweden and the Republic of Korea in a wide range of areas. The Embassy consists of sections for Promotion and Economic Affairs; Defence and Political Affairs; Administrative, Consular and Migration Affairs as well as an Office for Science and Innovation.

Receptionist/administrative assistant


The Embassy is hiring a positive, responsible and well-organized person who will work closely with the Head of Administration and the rest of the Embassy staff.

Start date: The position is tenured with a probation period of six months starting as soon as possible or as agreed.

The monthly salary is 2 500 000 KRW gross.

Main responsibilities:
As a receptionist you act as the key first contact for all who contact the Embassy at the reception desk and through the switchboard.
Receive guests, receive and transfer phone calls to the Embassy, sort incoming post, etc. Assists with bookings of tickets and hotels.
Assistant for migration and consular section, 20 %, handle general inquiries regarding migration and consular matters.
Administrative tasks:
Manage minor purchases, office supplies and stationery locally, handle documents, support with events etc.

Requirements:
Relevant education, preferably a university degree.
Experience from administrative work
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Korean. Proof of English proficiency may be required later. Knowledge in Swedish is a merit.
Flexible, positive and collaborative attitude with a talent for multitasking.
International experience
Previous experience as a receptionist and/or knowledge about Sweden will be considered as advantages. Experience of handling stressful situations is considered an additional merit.
